Brian has been practicing as a solo practitioner in Chicago for almost 35 years. Prior to practicing law in Chicago, Brian was the managing editor of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin for many years, a position that provided him with unique access and perspective on the legal landscape in Chicago and from which he's built a large network in Chicago's legal community.
Brian's practice is focused on real estate law, including residential and commercial representation, administrative law, and providing legal advice to his friends and neighbors in Rogers Park.
Brian has acted as an administrative law judge for the City of Chicago, has extensive experience in handling administrative matters, and represents several large local and national companies in this area.
Brian has lived in East Rogers Park for almost 50 years. Brian is also proud to be the founder and director of the Claire Owen Foundation.
Barry concentrates his practice in representing individuals, small businesses, and municipalities in litigation in state and federal courts.
Barry has been recognized by Leading Lawyers Magazine as a Leading Lawyer, and previously as an Emerging Lawyer, an honor that fewer than 2% of lawyers under the age of 40 receive.
Barry earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University in May 1999, graduating with a double major in Classical Studies and Political Science. Barry went on to work in politics and publishing in Chicago and London before attending Loyola University Chicago Law School. After graduation, Barry clerked for Cook County Circuit Court Judge Michael J. Hogan.
Prior to founding Owen & Owen, Barry practiced law at boutique civil litigation firms in Chicago where he represented clients in civil rights litigation at the trial and appellate levels, represented corporations involved in complex commercial litigation and employment disputes and represented companies and individuals in state and federal courts and before various local government agencies.
Barry lives in Lakeview with his wife and two young children. Barry is a Board Member and supporter of CHIRP Radio, the nation's best non-profit, volunteer-driven radio station, and is a committed supporter of Concern Worldwide.
